March 24, 2009 was officially proclaimed The Tiffany & Co. Foundation Day by Houston Mayor Bill White, to commemorate the Ribbon Cutting ceremony for The Tiffany & Co. Foundation Bridge in Hermann Park. This bridge is a new addition to the park and will increase access to areas of the park, while providing romantic views of Lake Plaza and the park.

The Tiffany & Co. Foundation awarded Hermann Park Conservancy a grant for $1,000,000 for the creation of The Tiffany & Co. Foundation Bridge in 2008. This grant is a part of the Foundation's Urban Parks program, which works to preserve the natural heritage that distinguishes great urban centers.
