Tiffany & Co. Foundation Jewelry Gallery Opens with the New Museum of Arts & Design at Columbus Circle in New York

The Museum of Arts & Design opened its doors to the public at its new location at 2 Columbus Circle in New York City on September 27, 2008. The museum is home to the Tiffany & Co. Foundation Jewelry Gallery, the nation's first gallery dedicated solely to contemporary jewelry.

All of the museum's approximately 500 pieces of jewelry from its permanent collection are housed in the Jewelry Gallery in study drawers, easily accessed below the current exhibition. The Tiffany & Co. Foundation is proud to support the Museum of Arts & Design as it highlights jewelry as an important element of the decorative arts.

The inaugural exhibition is Elegant Armour: The Art of Jewelry, which features over 130 works of modern and contemporary jewelry from 1948 to the present.
