The Foundation Joins Celebration of Bristol Bay at U.S. Supreme Court

The Tiffany & Co. Foundation is proud to join a diverse group of leaders in celebrating Alaska's Bristol Bay watershed. In March, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor hosted a celebration at the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. to pay tribute to the productive and majestic Bristol Bay, and its economic, cultural and ecological value.

Bristol Bay, Alaska, and its productive salmon fisheries, is under threat of development from large-scale mining. The Tiffany & Co. Foundation supports the development of standards for responsible mining, and believes that there are certain places which are too environmentally and culturally significant for mining to occur.

Anisa Kamadoli Costa, President of The Tiffany & Co. Foundation, said "The Tiffany & Co. Foundation is proud to join with representatives from diverse industries, native Bristol Bay communities, fishermen and conservationists. Bristol Bay is truly a place worth celebrating and protecting."
